By accepting service from Computer Medics of Richmond, Inc. you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions listed below.
Customer Responsibilities
Data - It is the responsibility of the customer to back up the data and programs on their computer prior to having Computer Medics of Richmond, Inc. perform any service. Computer Medics of Richmond, Inc. can backup the data for the customer prior to performing any other service. Fees for data backup vary based on the type of backup and total amount of data. Data backup is contingent on the condition of your hard drive and the integrity of the data contained on the drive.
Software - In the course of servicing your computer, it may be necessary to uninstall or remove programs from the computer. Customer is responsible for maintaining their software disks, CDs, installation files, and product or activation keys. Computer Medics or Richmond, Inc. may request these items from the customer in order to re-install the programs on the computer.
Payment - Payment is due upon receipt of your computer or other hardware. Computer Medics of Richmond, Inc. accepts cash, checks, and credit cards for payment of goods and services. Returned checks will incur a $35 service fee.
Privacy - Computer Medics of Richmond recognizes that there may be private and/or sensitive data on your computer, and the importance of maintaining the privacy of your data. Our employees will not browse through your files in search of data; however they may inadvertently see such data in the course of servicing your computer. Please address any privacy concerns you may have at the time of service.
Warranty - Computer Medics of Richmond provides a 30 day warranty on all services provided. The warranty does not cover anything outside of the scope of the original service. Warranty for virus/spyware/malware removal is contingent on the computer having virus protection software installed and updated, and have a current subscription. Hardware warranties are provided by their manufacturers.
Abandoned Equipment - Any computer or other equipment left with Computer Medics of Richmond for a period of 45 days after the customer has been notified it is ready for pickup will be considered abandoned. Abandoned equipment may be sold or disposed of without any further notice.
Limitations of Liability - Customer agrees that Computer Medics of Richmond, Inc's total liability for damages related to services provided is limited to the total amount paid for such services. The customer agrees that Computer Medics of Richmond, Inc., its employees, directors, and shareholders are not responsible for loss, corruption, or alteration of data.
